Abstract

Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy and his thought: At the very beginning of the paper, a short biography of Rosenstock-Huessy is presented, then the basic methodological assumptions of the social research conducted by this author are discussed. These assumptions were formulated, as the next part of the article shows, thanks to the discussions that Rosenstock-Huessy had with Franz Rosenzweig. The following three sections of the article present the crucial categories used by Rosenstock-Huessy in his analyses, i.e. the philosophy of speech, the society, and the cross of reality. The last section summarises the whole argument.
