Abstrakt

The axiological dimension of peace: In this article, the author reflects on peace as a val ue, drawing on various traditions, both ancient and contemporary, such as Stoicism, the philosophy of Pascal, Nietzsche, Sartre and Elzenberg. She emphasises the ambivalence of peace — the various meanings of this concept. Following Hannah Arendt, she considers peace a necessary environment for thought and examines the connections between peace and the idea of development.
